Dichroic Glass Explanation:
Dichroic glass is a multi-layer coating of quartz crystal and metal oxides. Some colours have as many as 30 layers of these materials yet the thickness of the total coating is approximately 35 millionth of an inch. Coatings are created using the same exact materials originally created for the aerospace industry and is the most expensive type of glass available today.
The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it has a transmitted colour and a completely different 'reflective' colour. These two colours shift depending on angle of view and light. |

Dichroic Pendants
I fuse wire into the fusible glass and then attach a bail to the wire. This is a much safer method than using glue to attach a bail.
Square Pendant (code 102)
The base is a medium blue with pink and white glass and 2 different colours of texutred dichroic glass (purple and gold) on top. Pendant measures 40mm x 22mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Bright orange base with a large piece textured dichroic glass. Pendant measures 49mm x 16mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Oblong Pendant (code 105)
Base is black with handpainted design in gold and white. There are 3 different colours of dichroic glass and clear glass on top. Pendant measures 51mm x 25mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is black with cream coloured glass and a square piece of gold dichroic glass. Pendant measures 48mm x 23mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is transparent dark blue glass with white stripes (white is more clear than photo shows) with a piece of silver dichroic glass. Pendant measures 47mm x 27mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Multi-coloured Pendant (code 108)
Base is black with 3 pieces of dichroic glass. The colours of dichroic glass are: orange (slightly paler than photo shows), small blue dots and a multi-coloured piece in green-pink and a purple- blue diagonal stripe. Pendant measures 47mm x 27mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Black Framed Pendant (code 109)
Black fusing glass frames a circular pendant (independant of the frame). The pendant has a black base with a piece of dark red dichroic glass (clearer than photo shows) and a square piece of silver dichroic glass. Whole pendant measures 47mm x 28mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Pink Pendant (code 111)
Base is pink with 3 pieces of dichroic glass layered on top of one another (the photo does not quite show the individual layers). The first layer of dichroic glass are pink circles outlined in gold. The next layer is rose-gold and the top layer is pink-gold. Pendant measures 46mm x 19mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Green pendant (code 112)
Base is black with a large piece of dichroic glass in green-gold (paler than photo shows). A clear piece of fusing glass on top. Then a piece of green fusing glass with fine gold speckles on top of the clear glass. Pendant measures 51mm x 21mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is black with 4 oblong pieces of dichroic glass; purple, silver (paler than photo shows), rose gold (paler than photo shows), and blue circles. Pendant measures 64mm x 10mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Purple-turquoise Pendant (code 114)
Base is black with a large piece of bubble-textured dichroic glass in a purple-turquoise colour. I have used white paint to highlight some of the texture. There is a top layer of clear glass. Pendant measures 50mm x 23mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is black with long stripe of gold dichroic glass. I've used white fusing glass which has left a raised glossy surface. Pendant measures 59mm x 22mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is pink with a large piece of melted textured irridised (oil on water/rainbow effect) dichroic glass. Pendant measures 46mm x 25mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Patterned Diamond Pendant (code 119)
Base is transparant lilac with a large piece of patterened dichroic glass in small pink squares with gold outline (photo is showing the reflective colour not the transmitted colour - see explanation at the start of this page). Sandwiched in between the glass is my handpainted design in white paint . Pendant measures 50mm x 46mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is black with a large piece of rose-gold dichroic glass, then 3 pieces of dichroic glass in silver, gold and dark blue. Clear glass forms the top layer. Pendant measures 60mm x 26mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.

Base is black with a large piece of blue-purple patterned dichroic glass. A layer of clear fusing glass is added. Then a strip of blue-purple dichroic glass is positioned on top. Pendant measures 69mm x 20mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.
