Dichroic Glass Pendants
Dichroic glass is a multi-layer coating of quartz crystal and metal oxides. Some colours have as many as 30 layers of these materials yet the thickness of the total coating is approximately 35 millionth of an inch. Coatings are created using the same exact materials originally created for the aerospace industry and is the most expensive type of glass available today.
The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it has a transmitted colour and a completely different 'reflective' colour. These two colours shift depending on angle of view and light.
Due to these transmitted and reflective colours, Dichroic Glass is very difficult to photograph . Where necessary I have explained in more detail if the photos are not showing the true colours.
The price of each pendant includes an 18" black leather cord (if a different size is required please contact me prior to ordering)
Dichroic Pendants
I fuse wire into the fusible glass and then attach a bail to the wire. This is a much safer method than using glue to attach a bail.

Squiggly Rainbow Pendant (code 1049)
I've used fused glass in pink, lilac, green, white, yellow and clear. Cut to different lengths and melted at a very high temperature to create the unusual shape. A long piece of rainbow coloured dichroic glass sits on top. Pendant measures 68mm x 25mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.
